Printmaker + Painter

Samantha Forsythe is a Boston-based artist. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art & Design with a bachelor's of Fine Arts in Printmaking, but has expanded her practice to working in mediums of oil paint and 30mm film photography. She works in traditional techniques to create deconstructed studies of old family photos and lived-through experiences. Her work often circles around themes of growing up on military bases in the American South, immutable landscapes, and static figures that are almost recognizable.

Her work has been showcases in "We Create Diamonds" at The Nave Gallery in Somerville, MA, "Across/By My Side" at Tower 1, West End Gallery in Boston, MA, "All School Show" at Tower 1, West End Gallery in Boston, MA. She has worked assisting artists Boston and at Muskat Studios, Somerville, MA.
